splunk workshop program

The Workshop

This workshop takes form of a classroom setting so that participants can get hands-on experience using the tools being discussed and have the ability to interact with the experts.

It will take place on October 30th and 31st at InterContinental Malta. Workshops last from 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm. Places can be secured for €100.

Participants must bring the following with them: laptop with i5, 8/16Gb RAM, and 250 GB free space on SSD.

The workshop agenda is split into several sections. Firstly, the registration process occurs, then the presentation, followed by the practical, afterwards a hands-on workshop and then finally the networking event.

The Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation is grateful for the Corporate Social Responsibility being shown by the Malta Blockchain Summit for their contribution towards its causes.

The Malta Blockchain Summit will be held for the first time this year. The event will bring together global influential stakeholders in a unique opportunity to debate the exciting potential of Blockchain across a variety of industries. These industries will include health, government, and banking, but with the technology still in its infancy, it stands to be applied even more widely.

This event is inspired by the recent initiation of Malta’s Virtual Currency Act, and will provide sought-after networking opportunities for over 4000 delegates, 100 speakers and 150+ sponsors and exhibitors. The awards event will be attended by the President of Malta.

The Blockchain Hackathon that will be taking place from the 30th of October to the 2nd of November has brought students and blockchain developers to compete for a prize of 50,000Eur in bitcoin for the coding competition, developing a dApp or contract implementation that satisfies the judges on the panel, decentralized and distributed solutions will be considered, taking place at ‘BlockChain Island’. Alongside the prize money the developers will be granted the opportunity to pal around with the co-inventor of Blockchain technology W.Scott Stornetta PhD present at the summit. Powered by CryptoFriends and in association with Blockchain Research Group and Major League Hacking.

Participants can either apply as individuals or teams, the individual applicants will gather up in a team with other individual applicants. Teams must contain a team leader Diverse capabilities are recommended, including Smart Contract Development, Web UX / UI Designer, Server & Client side Web Development, and Project Management.The teams will be mentored by senior experts from within the blockchain community and the digital economy at large, including Mikhail Savchenko of Chronobank, Mihai Cimpoesu of Mattereum, Gege Gatt of Ebo, Dean Demellweek, and Joshua Ellul from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Malta.
